SPECIAL ANNUAL TRIBUTE DINNER FOR 2008

The Chapter 47 Dining Out Tribute Dinner was a big success with around 32 people in attendance on

Friday March 17th 2008 at the Tierra Verde Community Center

EAA Chapter  47 Jack W. Tunstill Award For Exceptional Service To Aviation went to  Ed Hoffman Sr.

who is  a charter member of

    EAA Chapter 47 and the award

was presented by Jack Tunstill.

Hal Melkonian received  the Golden Wings

Award from EAA CH 47 by President Glenn Anderson.  Hal is a charter member of the

chapter and has held several offices and

has been a great supported

 of the chapter.

  Keith Kewley received  the Silver Wings Award

from EAA CH 47 President Glenn Anderson.

 Keith is an active member of the chapter and

       has held several offices. He is also very

active as a pilot for the

Young Eagles Program.

The main speaker for the Awards Dinner was Dr. Warren Brown, past President of the Florida Aviation 

      Historical Society. He  made

 a presentation on Florida’s

rich aviation history.

      The Saturday September 16, 2006 fly-in was with five planes and 14 folks and one K9  

                                                       to the Flying W Air-Ranch.

SPECIAL ANNUAL TRIBUTE DINNER FOR 2007

The Chapter 47 Dining Out Tribute Dinner was a big success with around 40 people in attendance on Friday March 23rd 2007 at the  Piccadilly Cafeteria in St Petersburg.

 "Eddie" Hoffman, former President and Chapter member, made the program presentation along 
with his father, Ed Hoffman Sr. a charter member of the Chapter. 

 

EAA Chapter  47 Jack W. Tunstill Award For Exceptional Service To Aviation went to  

Congressman  C.W. Bill Young

 


 

The EAA Chapter  47 Silver Wings Award For Exceptional Service To Aviation  and to EAA Chapter 47
